Frequently asked questions
How will the training sessions be conducted?
Each session begins with a short warm-up, followed by exercises and activities suitable for all participants. Towards the end, the group may be divided according to ability and fitness level. Some participants may run, while others may choose brisk or slower walking. The training is always adapted to ensure it is appropriate and comfortable for everyone.
Will the sessions be led by qualified coaches?
Yes. In Slovakia, the sessions are led by graduates of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, licensed athletics coaches, or experienced active athletes.
How long does a training session last?
Each session lasts approximately one hour.
What should I bring with me?
Please bring sportswear, sports shoes, a towel, water, and a positive attitude.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Training sessions take place from March to October. In case of very unfavourable or potentially dangerous weather conditions (such as extreme heat or icy surfaces), the session may be cancelled.
Can I join if I haven’t exercised before or if I’ve had a long break from sports?
Absolutely. The sessions are designed to accommodate different fitness levels and are adapted to the abilities of each participant.
I had knee surgery in the past. Can I still take part?
Participation in the training sessions is at your own responsibility. Each participant should consider whether their health condition allows them to take part in physical activity. If you are unsure, please consult your general practitioner.
Do I need to register in advance?
No advance registration is required. Simply come to the designated training location. However, each participant will be asked to register once for the training group.
Are changing rooms available?
Yes. For training sessions in Slovakia, changing rooms are available thanks to our cooperation with the Aupark shopping centre.
Who are the training sessions for?
The sessions are primarily intended for people aged 50 and over, but everyone is welcome.
